1. What is the 888Poker League?
888PL is the first fully integrated online and in venue poker league. You can now play for league points in your favourite local venues as well as in the comfort of your own home, online!
2. What are the Foundation, Challenge Divisions and what are Home and Away games?
888Poker League offers a variety of Texas Hold'em poker games both free and buy in, online and in venue! You now have more choice, more games, more prizes to be won and heaps more fun to be had!
Foundation games = Free to play.
Challenge games = Buy in games.
Home = Online
Away = In Venue
Foundation Home = Free to play games for 888PL points held online every day!
Foundation Away = The free poker games you are used to at your local!
Challenge Home = Buy In games for 888PL points held online every day and hosted by our partner 888!
Challenge Away = The poker games you are used to now with a buy in and cash prize pool!
3. What is the 888PL $100K Grand Final?
- The ultimate destination for all 888PL players this $100K event will be held twice a year
- Each seat is valued at $500 and there are up to 300 seats available for this event. The more seats that are won, the more the prize pool will be!
4. How do I qualify for the 888PL$100K Grand Final?
There are several ways to qualify:
- You can win your seat via the $50 Monthly Challenge Qualifying Final
- Satellites into this monthly event run daily on 888.
- Prizes for this event will be distributed as a $500 888PL Grand Final Seat and additional $200 cash.
- The top 10 finishers in the Victorian $30,000 Semi Final will qualify for the 888PL Grand Final Event.
- The top 20 finishers in the South Australian $30,000 Semi Final will qualify for the 888PL Grand Final
- The top 3 finishers in the Tasmanian $8,000 Semi Final will qualify for the 888PL Grand Final.
- Direct Entry Satellites will be held from time to time throughout South Australia and Victoria.
- A $50 regional final will be conducted in the majority of regional areas at the end of every season.
- NOTE: You must play 10 Away games in a season to qualify for the 888PL Grand Final.
5. How do I gain entry to the $50 Monthly Qualifying Final?
- Participate in any of the daily Satellites and win your $50 seat.
-Entry starts as low as $2.20
- Buy in directly for $50.
- Play in any Challenge Away event and win a ticket by winning the tournament
NOTE: Some events will have more than one ticket available to be won.
6. How do I qualify for the $30,000 Semi Final?
- Earn points by competing in the 888PL Foundation (Free) Home (Online) and Away (In Venue) games. If you finish in the top 5 for that event Scoreboard at the end of the season you qualify for the Foundation Semi Finals in your state
- Finish inside the Top 50 on the State Away Score Board; play a minimum of 15 Away events and qualify for this Score Board - if you finish inside the top 50 you instantly qualify.
- Away Game promotions - certain individual venues will at times run a promotion where the winner of that event instantly qualifies. Players are notified via SMS of these promotions so ensure your profile is up to date when you next play an Away (In Venue) event.
- NOTE: You must play in 10 Away events during the season to fulfil qualification criteria for Semi Finals.
7. What is the 888PL $20K Dream Team Scoreboard?
- This is where you truly test your poker skills against the rest of the league! Every game you play whether it's free or with a buy in, online or at your local venue earns you points.
- You have to play 10 Away (In Venue) games and 10 Home (Online) games to be eligible for the Dream Team Scoreboard
- The 888PL Dream Team Scoreboard will be based on the average of your best 10 Home games and your 10 best Away Games
- 1st prize on the 888PL $20K Dream Team Scoreboard is $5000 every season!
8. What is the Dream Team and how do I become a Member?
- The Dream Team is ten of 888PL's most elite players.
- Each season Dream Team members will win exclusive merchandise and as a bonus will be awarded exclusive Dream Team experiences.
- The top 5 on the Dream Team Scoreboard, the winner of each Semi Final and the winner and runner up of the Grand Final will form the Dream Team.
