Eagle Heights Mountain Resort - Recently joining the 888Poker League stable is the Eagle Heights Mountain Resort. The spectacular views is the first thing that strikes visitors to the Eagle Heights Mountain Resort, located on Mt Tamborine. Though views are what Tamborine Mountain is famous for and this panoramic view covers 280 degrees, stretching from Moreton Bay in the north down to Tweed Heads in the south. Eagle Heights Mountain Resort offers entertainment and a friendly atmosphere, and the separate function pavilion in the gardens is popular for weddings, conferences and parties.

The resort hosts 888PL on a Wednesday night and it has proven very popular with the locals - Imagine this......poker by a crackling fire on top of a mountain range overlooking the Gold Coast !!

888PL players can also take on Big Tony and place tips on a Sportspick terminal with over $250 000 in prizes on offer as well as a TAB, poker machines, tennis court, a Beer Garden with magnificent views, log fires in winter, special events and room for bus parking. Goodna RSL - The fantastic Goodna RSL in the Ipswich region of South East Queensland has recently become home-base for 888PL in the region. Deb and her team at Goodna RSL host four big games a week and in the first week of hosting 888PL events held games of 70, 85, 102 and 170 players. Games are held Thursday nights, Late Friday night , Saturday Lunch and on a Sunday Evening. The last Sunday of every month at Goodna RSL is also a $500 Freeroll event and coming up are teams events, shoot-outs and 888PL Grand Final playoffs. Goodna RSL also offers Sportspick and Big-Tony action to its 888PL players. Goodna RSL is located at 32 Woogaroo St in Goodna is offers $1 lifetime Memberships. There is always something happening at Goodna RSL and on the 18th August some Aussie legends are getting together for a trip back to the 60's and 70's. Top Honour For Kedron-Wavell Services Club - Venue of The Year 2010

The Kedron-Wavell Services Club has been named Club of the Year at a the recent IGT & Clubs Queensland Awards for Excellence at Jupiters on the Gold Coast.

Awards were handed out in 34 categories, recognising excellence in all aspects of community club operation.

This year's overall honour and highly sought after award Club of the Year was one of five awards Kedron-Wavell Services Club has added to its trophy cabinet for 2010.

They were awarded:

• Best Licensed RSL Services Club-large (for the second year running)
• Best Club Re-development over $1 million
• Best Club in Brisbane North
• Club of the Year

The club was also inducted into the awards Hall of Fame, for previously being named Best Entertainment Venue for three consecutive years something very rarely achieved.
Secretary Manager Chris Sartori was pleasantly surprised by the unexpected awards and congratulated his staff for their contributions as well as recognising the support from their members.

"Everyone should be very proud of their individual contributions as these types of awards are only possible with the support and commitment of a collective team effort," he said.
The Award finalists are selected by industry peers, from thousands of not-for-profit community clubs across Queensland.
